Housing Benefit Allowance

The way housing benefit is paid has changed.  It's now going to be paid directly to private tenants.

Joining the Renfrewshire Wide Credit Union offers a range of advantages over opening a basic bank account:

• You can have your benefit paid directly into your account
• You can set up a standing order to pay your rent to your landlord on the day it's due
• You can save and share in the credit union's profits every year
• If you save money with the credit union you may be able to apply for a loan
• You must save a minimum of £1 per month over and above your housing benefit payments.
